Former Sar-El madrich, Nachshon is now participating in ADAMAH, the Jewish Environmental Fellowship program in the United States. ADAMAH is a three month leadership training program for Jewish young adults — ages 20–29 —that integrates organic farming, sustainable living, Jewish learning, teaching, and contemplative spiritual practice. Participants like Nachshon spend much of their time learning and practicing sustainable agriculture and animal husbandry on the four-acre ADAMAH farm and in small gardens throughout the retreat center. Fellows also participate in leadership training, community living, ecological and Jewish seminars with visiting faculty. Nachshon is also co-editing the organization's blog, which can be found at: http://adamahfellow.wordpress.com/
Recent Sar-El Volunteer, Roxanne Fogelman, has just made Aliyah and has enlisted in the IDF. Roxanne is now serving as a lone soldier. Congratulations and best of luck (b'hatzlacha) to Roxanne!

Although he'd never run a marathon before, Sar-El participant Matt Watermann decided that his first ever attempt should take place while in Israel. As a result, Matt ran and completed the Tiberias Marathon on January 7th, 2010. Congratulations!
We congratulate Sar-El participant, Jeffrey Stein, who has made aliyah and joined a combat unit in the Israeli Army. He joins other former Sar-elniks: Roxanne Fogelman, Dan Neduva and Daryn Videlefsky, who have also enlisted in the IDF. Good Luck to all of them and we look forward to hearing about their progress!
